Service Description

En garde! Discover how performers create exciting and convincing fights while keeping themselves and their scene partners safe. Participants will learn the fundamentals of theatrical swordplay and stage combat, exploring techniques used to tell a story through choreographed action. Through hands-on instruction, participants will practice safe combat techniques, partner work, timing, reactions, and fight choreography while learning one of theater's most specialized performance skills. Depending on time and enrollment, participants may also put their new skills together into a short choreographed fight scene to share at the end of the workshop.
