Playwriting 101
Turn your ideas into stories made for the stage.
Service Description
Ever wondered how a play goes from an idea to a script? In Playwriting 101, participants will explore the building blocks of writing for the stage, including characters, dialogue, conflict, setting, and story structure. Through creative exercises and guided writing time, young playwrights will develop their own ideas and discover what makes a story work in live theater. Participants will leave the workshop with an original piece of writing of their own, whether that's a scene, short play, monologue, or another theatrical creation.
